The Flower Turtle

Description

Poster inspiration

Butterflies, flowers, turtles and everything in nature have always been a big inspiration and played a central role in much of my personal work.

This piece started as a sketch of three turtles playing and flying around in the sky, but during the process a story about transformation emerged on the canvas.
A story about how you can sometimes feel like you are drowning and swimming through rough water – but if you just keep swimming, you will end up flying. Floating above the rough water with the feeling of flowers and butterflies in your stomach, and feeling happy again.

The Flower Turtle was meant to be the first poster sold as a one-off, printed in a single copy with an accompanying certificate – but this never happened, which is why it is now available to everyone as a poster.
